The Crann Centre are delighted to inform our supporters that we have been allocated €5000 under the “RTÉ Does Comic Relief” fund.
RTÉ does Comic Relief was established in response to the fundraising crisis which non-profit organisations are experiencing because of the necessary COVID-19 restrictions
The award of this fund is extremely welcome in what has been an incredibly difficult year for our clients. The Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent restrictions have magnified key issues for people with neuro-physical disability, pre-Covid isolation was a major issue – with the lockdown and closure of several facilities, feelings of isolation, anxiety and stress has become even more pronounced.
We are proud to have continued supporting people with a neuro-physical disability and their families impacted across Ireland throughout the pandemic and this funding will help us continue to adapt our services online to ensure Crann is there and our services are available at those times of profound need.
The allocation under this fund will allow us to continue to provide our vital counselling service as a critical and valuable support to children, adults, and families to deal with the challenges heightened during this difficult time and ensure our clients maintain a strong connection with our services which are important to their wellbeing and development.
We would like to thank everyone involved with RTÉ Does Comic Relief; the Community Foundation of Ireland; and of course, to everyone who donated to the Comic Relief fund.
