How We Work

Our ground-breaking model of care informs everything we do. Putting you at the centre, we work with you and your family to create a plan tailored entirely to your individual needs.

A Ground-Breaking Model of Care

At Crann we use a model of care based on the Aspen 2 Generation approach (known as 2Gen), which recognises family as a vital part of human life and development. It helps us make decisions together that ensure the best possible outcome for your goals.

We are the first European charity to use the Aspen 2Gen approach and by using it, we build family well-being by working with children and the adults in their lives together as a unit.

The key areas we have built our model of care around are:

Care in Action

What we do puts you and your family at the centre of our services and policies. We work with you to identify your goals and find ways together to achieve them.

We offer programmes and services for both adults and children with a neuro-physical disability and their families. Every plan is tailor-made especially for you.

We know that life is an ever-changing journey and what is appropriate for you now may not be in five years’ time, so we are always looking for ways to adapt our plan as we grow together.

Let’s Start a Conversation

If you would like to join us at Crann, or find out more about how we can work with you and your family, we would love to hear from you.

The Aspen Institute is one of America’s leading think tanks. It gathers diverse, nonpartisan thought leaders, creatives, scholars, and members of the public to address some of the world’s most complex problems.

“The two-generation approach involves identifying the factors that undermine a family’s overall wellbeing, then working with the family to solve problems, access new resources, and sharpen existing skills.”
