Eanna Ní Lamhna

Biologist, environmental consultant and TV & Radio personality Éanna Ní Lamhna joined us for a special client family event at Conservation at Crann on June 23rd.

It was a fantastically sunny day as Eanna guided the group through the area, identifying and sharing fascinating insights about the plants and beautiful flowers present. The adventure continued down to the pond, where the group had an exciting time identifying various types of pond life, bugs, and plants. Along the way the group was able to use the Wanderly App, which brings the animals who call this space their home to life and enhances the experience! They visited the bird watching area to try to spot some of the local feathered friends. To wrap up a gorgeous day, the children enjoyed colouring in animal-shaped masks together.

A prolific writer of books on plants and animals, Éanna has spent her storied career supporting and promoting native Irish wildlife on and off TV screens, including as former President of both the Tree Council of Ireland, and An Taisce.

Conservation at Crann is an accessible nature experience featuring interactive education on Irish native wildlife, bird hides, a willow maze and decked pond, and plays host to a variety of native Irish animals, plants and insects. Download the Wanderly App before you visit to interact with the fantastic 3D information posts dotted around the experience! Download in the Apple App Store or the Google App Store.

Thank you to the Local Authority Waters Programme and Rethink Ireland for supporting this event.
