Research Corner: Your Voice Matters

Hello everyone! I’m Alice, the Research and Impact Lead at Crann, and I’m delighted to welcome you to our new Research Corner.

Every quarter, I’ll be sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the research happening at Crann, highlighting exciting developments, celebrating your contributions, and letting you know what’s coming next.

One thing you’ll hear me say a lot is that research at Crann isn’t something we do to our community – it’s something we do with our community. Every time you share your experiences, you’re helping us learn, improve and make sure we’re providing the very best support for children, adults and families living with neuro-physical disabilities.

Recent Surveys

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our recent adult survey trial. We know your time is valuable, so we’re incredibly grateful that you chose to share your experiences with us.

Thanks to your feedback, we’re delighted to say the survey was a success and we’ll now be rolling it out across Crann.

If you’re new to Crann, you’ll be invited to complete the survey when you first begin using our services. If you’re already part of the Crann community, you’ll receive it around your yearly anniversary with us.

So, why are we asking people to complete a survey?

Simply put, your voice helps shape the future of Crann.

The survey helps us understand how people are doing over time and whether our services are making the difference we hope they are. It helps us improve the support we provide, strengthens our research, and gives us the evidence we need to show funders the impact of Crann’s work. That means we can continue to grow, improve and support even more people in the years ahead.

By taking just a few minutes to complete the survey, you’re giving something back to the whole Crann community. Your experiences will help shape better services – not just for yourself, but for everyone who comes to Crann in the future.

We’re also incredibly grateful to all the children and families who took part in the trial of our new family survey.

We’re now reviewing everything we’ve learned from the trial, and your feedback will help us decide the best way to move forward. Our goal is to begin rolling the survey out more widely over the coming quarter, just as we’ve done with the adult survey.

Thank you for helping us take this important next step.

Looking ahead

Research is all about learning, listening and improving – and we couldn’t do it without you.

Every survey completed, every experience shared and every piece of feedback helps us better understand the needs of our community. Together, we’re building stronger evidence about the difference Crann makes, helping us improve our services, support future research, and secure funding so we can continue providing life-changing support to children, adults and families.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I look forward to sharing more updates with you in the next edition of our newsletter!
