Kate Jarvey traveled to Arizona, USA last week to attend the World Congress on Spina Bifida Research and Care.

The World Congress invites researchers, scientists, and healthcare professionals from around the world to discussing evidence-based practice, practical challenges, the latest in research and engaging in interdisciplinary networking.

Crann, in collaboration with Riley Childrens Hospital and Indiana University is one of 80 posters on display at the congress, with their work on the Skills on Wheels wheelchair skills programme.

Skills on Wheels is a programme offered by Crann in Ireland and Riley’s Children’s Hospital and Indiana University in the United States, which gives young people confidence in their use of their wheelchairs and improve their ability to manoeuvre around their environment safely.
