Our comprehensive Health & Continence service offers customised solutions to deal with core issues arising from neuro-physical conditions including nutrition, bowel & bladder management, foot and ankle health, pressure ulcer prevention & treatment and cervical health. Our continence team also offers Ireland’s only Clean Intermittent Catheterisation training programme for Healthcare Professionals.

Professional Education - Health & Continence

Professional Education

Learn the skills, competencies and confidence required to provide care effectively and safely in the community. These courses are designed for Nurses, Special Needs Assistants (SNAs), teachers, AIMs workers, social care workers, personal assistants, home support workers and care assistants.

Our Clean Intermittent Catheterisation, Trans Anal Irrigation and Antegrade Colonic Enema courses are CEU Certified with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) for Nurses.

Who does the Neurogenic Continence Clinic support?

This clinic supports people with neurogenic bowel and bladder dysfunction, which is common for people with Spina Bifida, Spinal Cord Injury and Multiple Sclerosis.

Who can benefit from Continence support?

Reviewing and updating your existing bowel or bladder management plan can positively impact your daily routine. If leaking, inconsistencies in passing bowel movements or pain are things that you are living with, our expert nursing team may be able suggest improvements and new routines.
