Hello everyone I hope you are all well. Today I would like to tell you about my experiences of Walk n’Roll 2023

I began my walkNRoll fundraiser on the first weekend of June.

Myself and my mom went Walking n’Rolling to my local village in Portmagee Co. Kerry on Saturday the 3rd, Sunday the 4th and Monday the 5th of June my mom kindly created artistic posters to stick at the back of my wheelchair to promote my fundraising campaign. She always does a wonderful job creating the posters and is great at making them look bright and attractive. Collection buckets were placed in local restaurants and shops so thank you to everyone who donated!

During that weekend I got to meet loads of people and everyone was so friendly and generous. Loads of people donated money to my fundraiser and it really was a very special feeling to see so many kind-hearted people.

My family and I then decided to organize an event with my local community for Sunday the 18th of June, where we all set off on a Walk n’Roll together from the Kerry Cliffs in Portmagee to the Skellig Experience Visitor Centre. A local musician called Ger Shea kindly sang songs with music to celebrate the completion of our Walk n’Rolling adventures for 2023. My uncle sang a Walk n’Roll song for me, which I really loved!

I had a fabulous time participating in Walk n’Roll this year and thanks to the generosity of family,  friends and my wider community I have raised over €5,000 for Crann’s ongoing services. I know the funds will be put to great use!

Thank you!
