Hello everyone! As you may be aware the past 2 years the Crann Centre have had an initiative in June called Walk’N’Roll. A 5k challenge which encourages people to get active in the community while raising money for the services the Crann Centre provides to families with neuro physical disabilities. Funds from last year were put towards the fully accessible playground and leisure which was opened on 2nd of July 2022.
I have really enjoyed participating in the Walk’N’Roll challenge since June 2021. I like wheeling to my local village with my family. My mom has helped to create posters to stick at the back of my chair to promote the event.
When I meet people I like to share my positive experience of the Crann Centre and why I like the Breaking Barriers Theatre Group, Chat & Connect and how exited I felt about a fully accessible playground opening, where I would be able to experience the use of different types of equipment independently.
The people in my community have loved finding out about the Crann Centre and how the services have had a positive impact on my life. I also did a walk to my local Kerry cliffs last year which was a very enjoyable event and a great success.. the generosity of my community has been second to none! I’m so fortunate and lucky for that. I could not be more thankful for the support network. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.
I am really looking forward to Walk’N’Roll this year!
Thank you!
