It’s important to get help from a solicitor when making or updating your will. While we can’t recommend a solicitor, you can find a list of registered solicitors in Ireland at the Law Society of Ireland.

Adding a gift to Crann in your Will is straightforward. Your solicitor will help you decide what type of gift is best for you – a specific amount of money (called a pecuniary gift) or a percentage of your estate’s value (called a residuary gift).

What are the tax implications of a Will?

Tax does not apply to money left in will to a registered charity. This means your donation can work harder. Your solicitor can guide you on the tax implications specific to each element of your will.

Do I need to let Crann know if I include them in my Will?

There is no obligation to inform us of your decision to include Crann in your will, but if you choose to let us know, we can support your decision by answering questions you have about how your gift could be used.
