A day in my life (with a physical disability): Art Competition
The Crann Centre has launched its ‘A day in my life (with a physical disability)’ Art Competition.
The competition has three categories, Kids & Teens (with a physical disability), Siblings of a person (with a physical disability) and Adults (with a physical disability), with a first prize of a €100 voucher going to the winner of each category.
Entrants can submit their piece in a number of different formats – art (painting, sculpture, collage, sketches etc) photography, video or written word (poem, short story). Think big, think small, think outside the box, just make sure it reflects you and your lived experience.
The Crann Centre hopes the competition will provides an engaging activity and recreational focus away from the ongoing COVID-19 crises. Entrants should submit their submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org, but are also encouraged to share them online using the hashtag #adayinmylife
All entries will subsequently be displayed at the Crann Centre during an exhibition, when it re-opens to the public. In doing so, the Crann Centre hopes to provide a forum to highlight to others what it is like to spend a day in the life of a someone with a physical disability or sibling, while also showcasing their artistic talents.
